For an older dog and the moments you share.

As your dog grows older and life begins to slow down, Rest Now, Good Dog offers a gentle story to share through this quieter season of life together.

Written directly to your dog, familiar words, comforting routines, and repetition create a reassuring reading experience centered around one simple message: love stays close through every season.

Like every Read With Your Dog™ book, this story is meant to be read aloud—with your dog as the listener and your familiar voice at the heart of the experience. Hand-drawn illustrations use a limited palette inspired by colors dogs can see, creating a book designed with both dogs and their people in mind.

Perfect for: quiet afternoons, bedtime, resting together, or simply slowing down beside a senior dog you love.
